Children Serving Life

We meet inside the room that says "catering" outside of it.

Is it ever justifiable to sentence someone to life in prison without the possibility of parole? What if that person committed the crime when they were under the age of eighteen?

We will be discussing the justice system and whether or not such sentences can be philosophically defended.

Should children subject to the harsh dictates of justice like any other offender? Should we instead see the child who has committed a crime as being in need of restoration and care?

This discussion will rely on the debate within feminist ethics between care and justice.
