Mother, Educator, Business Woman, Volunteer, and Community Advocate
My roots run deep in the City of Rialto – I have lived in Rialto over 20 years, attended public schools here, am raising my children here, work for the Rialto Unified School District, have volunteered and have been an important part of Rialto life. And now, I want to represent you as Rialto City Council.
I am qualified to be your City Council - Having completed the Rialto Institute of Progress, and served as a Budget Advisory Committee member, I understand the way our local government works and the fiscal status of our city. Understanding our community members and the needs of our city inspires and motivates me to be the voice for the people of Rialto.
After graduating from Eisenhower High School, I attended and graduated from San Bernardino Valley College with degrees in Liberal Arts (with emphasis in Social and Behavioral Science and Humanities and Fine Arts). I am finalizing a degree in Liberal Studies and Sociology from Cal State San Bernardino.
In 2017 I was awarded the 30 under 30 award from Assembly member Eloise Gomez Reyes and Woman of Distinction by the League of United Latin American Citizens of the Inland Empire and Chicano Latino Caucus of San Bernardino County, for community engagement and advocacy work.
I Care about Rialto’s Future:
I began my community involvement during my high school days as Club President, Vice-President, and Treasurer. Have been an active volunteer with community leaders to help the community. I am concerned about the educational, social, environmental and business matters of Rialto. I will fight for equal access for all residents. I am bilingual and will work hard by making all services available to all residents.
Everyone matters! I believe that a united community is a successful community. I will contribute by bringing positive and new ideas, using my administrative experience and skills to help Rialto become a model city for others to follow and to give our people the voice they need so they can become more involved in city decisions that benefit the well-being of all residents in Rialto.
